What is Narcan? Narcan (Naloxone) is a medication used to prevent an opioid overdose.

Signs of an Overdose:

  • Decreased respiration
  • Clammy skin
  • Pinpoint pupils
  • Unresponsive / not reactive to sternum rub
  • Blue/grey lips and/or fingertips
  • Limp body
  • Choking or gurgling sounds
  • Snoring

How to Get Narcan:

There is an open prescription for everyone, meaning you can request Narcan at your local pharmacy and the cost will be the insurance co-pay.
